Power Plant Maintenance
MEC & Partners provides full range of maintenance services for various types of power generating units including thermal, nuclear, hydro, combined cycle/co-generation and diesel. Available services are routine and scheduled maintenance(Major Overhaul and Inspection) to maintain optimum operating conditions, emergency repairs, and modification and rehabilitation work to improve plant availability and reliability. These services include engineering, cost estimating, work planning, manpower supply, and work management.
Power Plant Operation
MEC & Partners operation services are provided for several types of power plants including thermal, combined cycle/co-generation and diesel plants, in close coordination with the utility organization, Korea Electric Power Corporation.
The services include manpower supply, technical assistance, personnel training, operation manuals preparation, records management, pre-service inspections for nuclear units. Operational services are also available in package with overall plant maintenance services.
Gas Turbine Part Repair and Rotor Repair Service
MEC & Partners is capable for providing part repair service for gas turbine and rotor repair service. We are providing repair service with GE licence. Major Models of gas turbine for part repair are GE Frame9, Frame7, Frame 6, Frame 5, WH W501 and ABB GT11N.
Our Principals providing repair service for 70 units of gas turbines manufactured by General Electric, Westinghouse and ABB owned by KEPCO and IPPs
Power Plant Modification
MEC & Partners is qualified to perform a variety of modification works for power plants such as fuel conversion from oil firing to coal firing, boiler modification to daily start and stop operation system and so on. The services include engineering, cost estimating, work planning, manpower supply, and project management.
Transmission System Maintenance
This service includes Engineering Services for the system installations and Maintenance Services such as periodic inspection, cleaning and greasing of porcelain insulators of high and extra-high voltage(up to 765KV) transmission lines and switchyards, and detection, replacement of defective lines and systems. The total length is 19,500 Circuit km long and the total number of Towers are 32,000.
For High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) Lines and Convertor systems between Korean main land and Cheju island (length of 101km), KPS provides maintenance services.
Industrial Cleaning
MEC & Partners provides industrial cleaning services for various plant equipments, which include:
- Alkaline Cleaning to remove grease and oil from internal surfaces of boiler, pre-boiler heat exchangers, steam turbine condensers, etc.
- Acid Cleaning to remove scale deposit formed on boiler internal surfaces
- High Pressure Water Jet Cleaning to remove deposits accumulated on external surface of steam generator
- Chemical cleaning includes:
- Boiler tube chemical cleaning
- Condenser tube foam cleaning
- Boiler tube surface jet cleaning
- Flushing and chemical cleaning of various systems
Personnel Training
MEC & Partners provides technical training services for the client’s plant maintenance personnel. The training programs are so arranged to suit the personnel’s individual qualifications as well as the client’s requirements, and implemented in the forms of on-the-job training, classroom lectures and orientation through movies, mockups and simulators.
